Customer Account Manager

General Description / Job Purpose:

Seeking an Account Manager to develop and maintain strong relationships with our customers through the entire product cycle. You will support all customer communications and queries, quote preparation, setting and updating schedules, documentation exchanges, RMAs, and similar. You will set and exceed expectations. You will be the liaison to internal teams, such as engineering, production, planning, and accounting.   

Due to our current growth rate, initial focus will be on supporting existing customers. Down the road, your role will expand to identify and pursue new business opportunities.

This is a potential growth opportunity to lead and manage our future sales reps, and build the sales team. You’re the first one, and we’re growing rapidly!

This position may require occasional travel, primarily in short driving distance, with infrequent flights.


  • Operates as the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to your accounts.
  • Builds and maintains strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
  • Delights customers with fast response time.
  • Oversees customer account management, including negotiating contracts and agreements.
  • Acts as liaison between our customers and internal teams (production, engineering, quality, accounting, etc).
  • Works with manufacturing planner to set realistic lead times.
  • Processes new customer orders.
  • Interfaces at all levels of the organization.
  • Travels to visit key customers. Expected travel time is 10%.
  • Future function: identifies and pursues new customers and business opportunities.
  • Future function: leads business development initiatives, including industry events, conferences, workshops, and more.
  • Future function: leads and trains future sales employees.


  • Great team player with strong inter-personal skills. We’re looking for someone who fits our team and will delight our customers.
  • Proven work experience as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, or Junior Account Manager.
  • BA/BS degree in relevant field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, experience in aerospace or UAV industry strongly preferred.
  • Strong technical ability: understand manufacturing processes, technical specs, drawings, and engineering issues.
  • Understanding of aerospace requirements and processes, such as rev control, quality processes, and first article inspections.
  • One year of MRP system experience, such as SAP B1, strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication, verbal and written skills.
  • The ability to listen and work respectfully within a team.
  • Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs.
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail.
  • Must be a self-starter, self-managed, an effective team player and possess excellent analytical/problem solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) required.
  • Eligible candidate must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, a person lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or otherwise eligible U.S. person.
