Business Development and Technical Sales

We are actively searching for someone very experienced in business development, technical sales, and managing customer relations. Decavo is going through an exciting growth phase, and we are looking for a high-caliber addition to our team. Can you help us diversify and find customers in niche markets? Do you know the composite market? Have you worked in Aerospace industry – or anything that needs lightweight, high-quality carbon components? Most important, we are looking for a person with strong people skills to grow our business and delight our customers.

Key responsibilities:

  • Strategy: Refine and pursue the best business strategy to help Decavo grow and diversify.
  • Sales: Work the sales process, from first contact (with technical backup) and quoting, to final review of agreements and POs.
  • Project Management: Support our customers as their primary point of contact throughout projects.
  • Relationship: We strive to build long-term relationships with our customers that are built on trust and integrity. Be an integral part of the team that makes this happen.

Most important skills:

  • People skills: delight our customers, as well as employees.
  • Business minded: understand quoting, costing, and BD.
  • Technical inclination: you don't need to know the details, but be savvy enough to learn composite technology and processes.
  • Values: Walk the talk of trust and integrity.
  • Experience: Several years of business and customer interaction experience (required).
  • Bonus prior experience: composite or aerospace industry (desired, not required).

We're looking for a key player, who will become a cornerstone for our future growth. Potential for several direct reports in the future. Position is full time, but we could be open to retainer agreements, part time, or commission work.

CNC Mill Operator

Decavo is looking for a CNC mill operator. You'll be working under an experienced machinist to perform our composite trim operations on a 4-axis mill and 5-axis router.

CNC Operator Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Carbon machining: Operate our 4-axis CNC veritcal mill and large 5-axis CNC router.
  • Deburr carbon and fiberglass parts after CNC trim.
  • Basic drawing interpretation, GD&T, part verification, and in-process QA.
  • Read and interpret work instructions, specifications, sketches, job travelers, and planning documents.
  • Must have the ability to work independently, as well as with representatives of other departments, project coordinators, technicians, and management.
  • Schedule and prioritize incoming work flow.

Qualifications:

  • Prior CNC mill operator experience is required.
  • Respectful, dependable, reliable, great attitude, goal orientated, & superb work ethic.
  • Enthusiasm, willingness, and ability to learn.
  • Work well independently or within a team in a positive collaborative manner.
  • Willingness to help teammates out in achieving common goals.
  • Minimal CAD/2D drafting experience preferred but not required.
  • Periodic weekend or evening work is expected.

Wage: $14-$18 per hour DOE. Shift Hours: 7:00 - 3:30pm (Flexible)

CNC Machinist / Programmer

Decavo is looking for a CNC machinist and MasterCam programmer. . You'll be machining a variety of aluminum tooling, fixtures, and parts on our VF3YT, VF2, and large 5-axis router. This is an opportunity to work in a good work environment right by the Hood River water front.

Key Responsibilities:

  • CNC mill operation, maintenance, and cleaning.
  • Setup of machining fixtures.
  • Running machining programs to trim composite parts.
  • Basic drawing interpretation, GD&T, part verification, and in-process QA.

Composite Laminator

Seeking a composite laminator to join our team. You will be building very intricate and high-end aerospace carbon parts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Place carbon fiber into molds using hand-tools.
  • Handle carbon and fiberglass pre-preg material.
  • Read and interpret work instructions, specifications, sketches, job travelers, and planning documents.
  • Must have the ability to work independently, as well as with representatives of other departments, project coordinators, technicians, and management.
  • Schedule and prioritize incoming work flow.
  • This position will be working in a clean, climate controlled environment.

Qualifications:

  • Respectful, dependable, reliable, great attitude, goal orientated, & superb work ethic.
  • Attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to visualize fiber placement into molds.
  • The ability to stand for long durations of time.
  • Employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Enthusiasm, willingness, and ability to learn.
  • Work well independently or within a team in a positive collaborative manner.
  • Willingness to help teammates out in achieving common goals.
  • Prior experiences with composites is a plus but not a requirement.
  • Periodic weekend or evening work is expected.
